On Saturday evening, October 10, police say they stopped a motorist who was reportedly going 176 km/h (106 km/h over the speed limit).

The driver was penalized with an automatic seven-day licence suspension, vehicle impoundment, and a summons to court.

Police are reminding all drivers to slow down and practice road safety.
