A Christmas time break-in at a Niagara-On-The-Lake store has led to charges against a Brampton teenager.

The theft involved $20,000 worth of merchandise and $8,000 damage was done to the store during the break-in.

The 15-year-old, who cannot be named because of his age, has been charged with breaking and entering to commit theft, possesion of property obtained by crime and trafficking property obtained by crime.

Niagara Regional Police say the incident took place this past Christmas Eve when the Moose Knuckles store at the Niagara Outlet Mall was broken into.

Detectives kept on the case and during their investigation found that some of the stolen items were turning up for sale on Kijiji.

On January 5, police arrested the 15-year-old at his Brampton home.

The investigation into the break and enter remains ongoing by detectives as there are grounds to believe more suspects were involved in this incident, say police.
