As a precaution, the city is reporting that one of its Brampton Transit operators recently tested positive for COVID-19.

The operator, who worked on routes 23 Sandalwood and 502 Züm Main, last worked on Monday, October 19.

The city is advising anyone who travelled on the affected routes and who are feeling well (with no symptoms) to go about their daily routines and not call Public Health.

Those who develop symptoms are asked to call Public Health, or 911 if they require emergency medical assistance.

Transit operators who have tested positive for COVID-19 are required to go into self-isolation for 14 days.

“The City’s priority is providing support to this individual and their family, and continuing to help protect the health and safety of our employees, customers and community,” according to the city. “Public Health reaches out to the employees who have been in close contact with the operator.”
