If you’re a childcare worker who lives or works in a “hot spot” community in Brampton, Mississauga or Caledon, you can book a COVID-19 vaccine.
Trillium Health Partners (THP) recently announced that individuals who work in licensed child care settings who living or working in hot spots are eligible to be vaccinated.
Hot spot postal codes include:
Peel: L4T, L4W, L4X, L4Z, L5A, L5B, L5R, L5C, L5K, L5L, L5M, L5N, L5V, L5W, L6P, L6R, L6S, L6T, L6V, L6W, L6X, L6Y, L6Z, L7A, L7C
Etobicoke: M8V, M9A, M9B, M9C
According to THP, eligible residents will be required to bring their license number or the license number of the child care setting they are currently employed by.
THP says that in the coming weeks, eligibility will be expanded to individuals in unlicensed child care settings across the province.
As of now, childcare workers who live or work in Brampton must book appointments through the province to receive vaccines at Toronto Public Health and Peel Public Health vaccine clinics.
Eligible residents can call the provincial call centre at 1-833-943-3900.
