Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a male suspect involved in two separate assaults in Brampton.

Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a male suspect involved in two separate assaults in Brampton.

The first incident took place around 3:40 p.m. on Sunday, December 22. Police say a lone male approached a female in the area of Norton Place Park and Clark Boulevard, and she was physically assaulted.

She was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The second incident happened around 7:36 p.m. the same day, when a lone male approached a female in the grocery store parking lot in the area of Peel Centre Drive.

“The female victim was threatened with a knife. A struggle took place resulting in the victim sustaining cuts to both hands,” police say.

The suspect reportedly fled on foot towards Central Park Drive and Knightsbridge Road. The victim was taken to hospital.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5’7 to 5’11 in height, mid to late 30’s, with a dark complexion, facial hair, and a slim build. He has a Caribbean accent, according to one of the victims.

“The suspect was injured during the second incident and sustained a cut under his right eye and scratches to his face,” police say.

During the first incident he was wearing a dark blue jacket, grey track pants, grey hoodie, dark coloured hat, and black shoes with white soles. During the second incident he was wearing black cargo style pants, oversized camouflage hoodie, and black shoes with white soles.
