CARJACKING: Delivery driver’s vehicle stolen in Brampton

Officers are investigating a carjacking in Brampton this afternoon.

Police were called at 2:21 p.m. after a delivery driver’s vehicle was taken by a suspect in the area of Main Street North and Williams Parkway.

The suspect struck the victim with her own vehicle as he fled the scene, police say.

Paramedics assessed the victim, who has been taken to local hospital as a precaution.

The suspect is described as a black male between 35 and 40 years old wearing a scarf and hoodie.

The vehicle is a white Chevrolet Cruze with licence plate number CJJP616.


UPDATE: After further investigation, police are now deeming this a vehicle theft instead of a carjacking. The investigation is ongoing.
