Crickets Comedy Club has officially expanded to Brampton, located inside of Joker’s Hideout Pub & Games at 55 Rutherford Road South, unit 4.

Crickets held a grand opening showcase on January 5, 2018, featuring such comedic talent as headliner Casey Corbin, feature performer Jason Allen, and openers Daniel Sanker and Munish Joshi.

Many more events are on the horizon for this new hangout spot in Brampton — Crickets will host regular shows on Friday and Saturday nights, so it looks like you’ll have a new option for something to do on weekend nights right here in Brampton.

What’s up next?

A pretty impressive lineup of stand-up comedians.

Precious Chong (daughter of Cheech and Chong’s Tommy Chong) will headline shows on January 12 and 13, well-known Canadian comedian and actor Mike MacDonald as the headliner on January 19 and 20, and edgy comedian and one of the top headliners in Canada for over three decades, Glen Foster, will take the stage on January 26 and 27.

Owner and popular local comedian Neil Griffin has opened a comedy club in Brampton before that garnered some attention — the 420 Comedy Club that launched this summer inside of Greenleaf Vapour Lounge on Rosedale Avenue.

Initially launched in Thunder Bay in 2016, Crickets is expanding fairly quickly. In fact, the comedy club has signed a deal to run regular comedy shows in 24 venues across Canada – Brampton included.

Founder Chris Mulawyshyn hopes it’ll be the biggest comedy chain in North America.

Tickets to any Crickets Comedy Club night in Brampton are just $10, regardless of who’s performing.
