Brampton is about to get a little healthier!

Brampton is about to get a little healthier!

I’m not vegan, but my sister is, and she has given me an incredible appreciation for 100 per cent plant-based food. Who said vegan food had to be boring?

So it’s pretty exciting that Brampton is getting its very first entirely vegan spot, for vegans and non-vegans alike.

Copper Branch is a popular vegan franchise that’s making its way to the Flower City.

Here in Brampton, Copper Branch is opening up shop sometime in fall 2018, near the Mercedes Dealership, AutoPark Brampton, at Queen and Rutherford.

Currently, this plant-based, power food resto has locations across Quebec, and a few in Ontario, in Toronto, Waterloo, Barrie, and Brooklin. Now, the health foods joint is opening a swath of new locations in Quebec and Ontario, two in Alberta, and even one in France.

Other Ontario locations that are on their way include Mississauga, Oakville, Ottawa, and Kingston.

You might be wondering what’s on the menu.

Well, vegan food is entirely plant-based – that means there’s no meat or dairy here. Everything is 100 per cent plant-based, all-natural, non-GMO, and organic, and gluten-free options are available.

First, there’s a selection of hearty power bowls like the Asian Fusion, the New Mediterranio, and the General Copper, where you can choose your base and your protein, with options like brown rice, konjac noodles, tempeh, and tofu.

Then, there are quite a few burgers you can choose from, and you even have the option to make it a double patty. Yes, it’s possible to make a burger vegan.

The Mushroom Galaxy Burger features an oven-roasted portobello mushroom, while the Spicy Black Bean Burger boasts a black bean-based patty, and the Copper Burger loads veggies on top of a beet- and brown rice-based patty.

Copper Branch’s menu also features sandwiches, chili, soup, sides, all-day breakfast, smoothies, organic coffees and teas, and even an epic selection of desserts.

Drooling yet?

An official opening date has not yet been confirmed, but we’ll keep you posted!
