Brampton residents looking for cannabis products now have a brand new location to check out.

Ganjika House, the city’s very first cannabis store, is set to open Monday, April 1 at 186 Main Street South.

“The Ganjika House in-store experience encourages visitors to explore a wide variety of premium cannabis products while being immersed in an environment of positivity and acceptance,” the store writes on its website.

“At Ganjika House, both the seasoned cannabis connoisseur and the new canna-curious consumer will feel comfortable.”

The store is run by resident Clint Seukeran, who formerly ran a Brampton-based health product business called CGS Foods.

Seukeran won the chance to apply for a cannabis retail store licence in a lottery held by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario back in January.

As for what Ganjika House sells, you can expect a selection of flowers, oils and accessories from a variety of brands, including LBS, Broken Coast, and Canadian Lumber.

“You may think of ganja when you see our name, and that’s fine with us,” the store says. “Our store embraces the word’s Sanskrit origins and the curiosity Ganjika evokes. The look of our store was also inspired by the lush beauty of South Asia.”

The store will be open everyday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

To learn more, visit the store’s website or check out Ganjika House on Facebook and Instagram.
