Alessia Cara will take centre stage at the NBA All-Star Game on March 7.
The Brampton native will be singing the Canadian national anthem remotely from Toronto before the game tips off in Atlanta.
A Grammy Award winner, the 24-year-old is used to the NBA spotlight having song O Canada for the Toronto Raptors during basketball playoffs in 2019.
A graduate of Cardinal Ambrozic Catholic School, Cara was also won multiple Juno Awards and music video honours.
Cara will join musical legend Gladys Knight who will perform The Star Spangled Banner during the pregame show.
