Brampton is a lucky city!

OLG recently announced that yet another Brampton resident is celebrating after winning $100,000 with Encore (May 27, Pick 3).

“I won $3 on an Instant scratch ticket and I decided to buy a Pick 3 with Encore,” Caroline Clements told OLG while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto. “I put my ticket in my purse and went home.”

The following day, the 67-year-old retired mother of two returned to the store to check her ticket.

“I used the ticket checker and saw the words, ‘Big Winner’ appear on the screen. I re-scanned the ticket to double check. I finally took my ticket to the retailer and asked her to validate it. The terminal froze as the retailer ran the ticket through it. OLG called and confirmed my win. At this point, I didn’t know how much I won but I was happy because I knew it was a big prize.”

According to OLG, Clements returned home and shared the good news with her kids.

“They thought I was joking. I told them, ‘No, I’m going to Toronto tomorrow morning to claim my prize.’ They were both very happy for me.”

Clements already had plans for windfull.

“I will invest a portion of this prize and I’m definitely going to have a spa day! Winning the lottery makes me very happy. I never dreamt of winning but I did.”

Encore can be played in conjunction with most online lottery games for an extra $1. There is an Encore draw every day.

The winning ticket was purchased at Becker’s on Williams Parkway in Brampton.
