Plans for Brampton’s new park are underway and the City is calling on residents for their feedback.

Located outside the Gore Meadows Community Centre and Library, at 10150 The Gore Road, this park will feature modern design and construction and provide increased access to play structures and recreational amenities for residents of all ages and abilities.

Construction of Gore Meadows East Community Park is set to begin in 2021/2022.

Park Amenities will include tennis courts, pickleball courts, three cricket fields (including one that is already constructed), batting cages, three soccer fields, a skate park, playgrounds and more.

The existing soccer field area will be developed into an Activity Hub.

Currently, the 16,450 square-meter area is being used for a sports field and contains a small playground and three basketball nets.

The development of this area is part of the overall master plan for the entire Gore Meadows site.

This space will be developed into a space containing, three basketball courts, an artificial turf playfield, playgrounds, outdoor fitness equipment, outdoor seniors area and yoga classroom, an outdoor amphitheatre, splash pad waterplay and a therapeutic garden.

The City of Brampton is currently encouraging residents to have their say for the skatepark’s design in an online survey from now until Aug 31, 2020.
