As Brampton is a city that is constantly growing, the City recognizes that residents play a big role in determining what the city could look like in the years to come.
Throughout the month of July, Brampton residents will have the opportunity to provide their feedback and have their say on five new and exciting projects.
This month until July 31, residents are invited to visit a virtual open house and provide their feedback on the Light Rail Transit (LRT) Extension.

The extension of Hurontario LRT on Main Street, from the Brampton Gateway Terminal at Steeles Avenue to the Brampton GO Station is a key transit priority and city-building project for Brampton.
A preferred route will be recommended based on a number of criteria associated with the natural, social, economic and cultural environment as well as transportation factors.
Additionally, Brampton is building streets to meet the needs of its residents.
A survey on the Williams Parkway Review will be available online until August 1, 2020.
Residents can comment on what is most important to them including a wider pedestrian path, safer bike path, dedicated transit lane or more road space for cars.
The City is also building a continuous and connected east-west cycling corridor with separated bike lanes, as outlined as a key priority in the Brampton 2040 Vision.
This cycling corridor will provide cyclists with a more comfortable and safe cycling option and provide access to existing north-south trails.
Residents can learn more and share feedback on approximately 7 kilometres of cycling facilities along Vodden Street, Howden Boulevard and Hanover Road. The survey will remain open until July 31, 2020.
Brampton Transit is one of Canada’s fastest-growing transit networks and in order to keep up with the rapid growth in demand, the City is planning a third transit maintenance and operations facility.
A virtual open house is available online until July 15, 2020, for the public to learn more about the project and provide feedback.
Additionally, residents, visitors and stakeholders are invited to have their say on the City’s first-ever Tourism Strategy.
The Strategy will address Brampton’s short and long-term tourism growth and will focus on economic recovery and hyperlocal and local initiatives aligning with the City’s Economic Recovery Strategy.
This strategy will identify opportunities to increase domestic tourism.
Engagement opportunities include a resident survey open until July 20, resident interviews and a virtual public consultation on Tuesday, July 14 at 7:00 pm.
“Residents are at the heart of everything we do, and their feedback is essential to us continuing to build a Green, Healthy and Safe and Mosaic City,” said Mayor Patrick Brown.
“I encourage all Bramptonians to participate in these public engagement opportunities, and learn more about the City’s many ongoing transformative projects.”
