June is Recreation and Parks Month in Brampton and the City is encouraging people to enjoy the outdoors by participating in fresh-air activities with members of your household or joining free, online events and self-guided activities.
Explore parks, trails and pathways by hiking, biking or walking along one of Brampton’s recreational trail systems, which offer more than 40 kilometres of guided and paved recreational trails throughout the city. For more information, visit here for information on recreation trails and here for parks and open spaces.
The city offers free online tutorials in arts and crafts. From printable worksheets to video tutorials, explore a variety of self-paced programs to keep kids, youth, and adults entertained and engaged at home. View a database of fun online activities here.
You can also challenge your family to a friendly game of BINGO. Three themes are available to choose from, including Parks and Trails, Get Active, and Fitness. Pick your favourite or try all three. Download your bingo cards here: parks and trails and get active bingo or fitness bingo.
Residents can also celebrate International Yoga Day on June 21. The city’s fitness team is hosting online yoga events throughout the day to mark the event. Learn more and reserve your spot in advance by visiting here.
