A third person, a Brampton resident, has died in hospital after fiery crash along Highway 401 near Cornwall.
Ontario Provincial Police say Moniruzzaman Mohammed, 46, of Brampton died of his injuries on the weekend following the crash the occurred on May 13.
Updating previous reports, OPP now say the two other victims pronounced dead at the scene were not from Brampton, but were visitors from Bangladesh. Their identities have not been released until next of kin in their homeland can be identified.
The crash occurred just before 4:30 p.m. on Thursday when an SUV the three were in was travelling westbound on the highway when it left the road and struck two culverts. The vehicle then burst into flames, according to reports.
Police are continuing their investigation but admit, with few witnesses and no survivors the cause of the crash may never be known.
