A very unique series of paint night events is happening in Brampton, and one is coming up very soon!

Paint nights have gained traction over the past few years as events where a bunch of people are invited to a bar or a restaurant can order drinks and create a painting under the guidance of an art instructor. A few companies do them – notably Paint Nite – and now, Visual Arts Brampton has put a twist on their own paint nights here in Brampton.

Visual Arts Brampton is hosting Bring Your Own Beer or Bottle of Wine/Champagne (BYOB) paint nights from their location at 1 Bartley Bull Parkway, Unit 10, for $25 a night once a month until this July.

There are only two things you need to bring – yourself and either some beer or a bottle of wine or champagne!

You’ll be provided with a canvas, brushes, an apron, paints, a palette on the painting end, and glasses, cups, bottle openers, corkscrews, and even a refrigerator on the drinking end.

Whether or not you’re good at art, if you’re over 19 years old, you’re invited.

“Our easy, step-by-step, instructor led paint nights are for everyone – even if you’ve never touched a brush in your life! We want to show you that anyone can paint (and have fun while doing it!)” say BYOB Paint Night organizers.

Here’s the upcoming schedule and list of paintings from Visual Arts Brampton’s website:

  • April 28 – Pastel Flowers
  • May 26 – Spring Landscape
  • June 30 – Aurora Borealis
  • July 28 – Summer Fun

All of these are Saturdays from 7-9 p.m., and could be a fun new addition to your weekends.

Typically, paint nights are a good way to relax and indulge in some self-care. People of all skill levels are invited and can adjust their painting to their own skill level.

“All you need to do is enjoy the creative journey,” say organizers.

So, if you want a new experience, a way to relax, a fun night out, and a beautiful painting (yours!) to take home, definitely snag a ticket.

Drink and paint on, Brampton!
