Brampton’s Tristan Thompson has received an early Christmas present from the NBA’s Boston Celtics.

The product of St. Marguerite d’Youville Secondary School on Dixie Rd., Thompson, 29, signed a two-year $19 million deal with the Celtics over the weekend as the National Basketball Association’s free agent season started to heat up.

Previously, Thompson played with the Cleveland Cavaliers who made him the fourth pick overall in the 2011 draft after a stellar college career with the University of Texas.

With Cleveland, Thompson played alongside LeBron James and won the NBA championship in the 2015-2016 season.

During his professional career he has earned almost $120 million.

Thompson is also romantically involved with American socialite, TV star and businesswoman Khloé Kardashian. They have a daughter together.
