Brampton men charged in connection with Mississauga kidnapping

Seven people are facing charges in connection with a kidnapping that took place in Mississauga in April.

Peel Regional Police announced Tuesday that investigators from 21 Division have announced charges in connection with the incident, which took place on the second weekend of last month.

Police say that at 4 p.m. on April 10, officers were contacted regarding a man who was allegedly kidnapped in Mississauga. He was found at 2 a.m. on April 11 in the area of Airport Road and Morning Star Drive with severe but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to an area hospital.

All seven individuals face counts of assault causing bodily harm, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and kidnapping.

Jaspuneet Bajwa, age 29, of Mississauga; Gurvinder Dhillon, 34, of Brampton; Harpal Dhillon, 36, of Brampton; Maninderjit Dhindsa, 42, of Brampton; Lakhvir Singh, 23, of Mississauga; Kalib Rahi, 34, of Brampton, and Ramanpreet Singh, 22, of no fixed address, have been charged.
