Brampton man arrested, charged with sexual assault crimes spanning several years

Investigators from Peel Regional Police’s Intimate Partner Violence Unit have charged a man after he allegedly committed offences against three women.

Since 2016, it is alleged the man committed multiple offences against women that he was in a relationship with. Further, the man may have possibly used online dating sites to meet additional victims, while attempting to engage in a relationship with them.

Luke Eastman, a 24-year-old man from Brampton, was arrested and charged with the following offences:

  • Assault with a weapon
  • Assault causing bodily harm
  • Forcible confinement
  • Assault causing bodily harm – chokes, suffocates or strangles
  • Overcoming resistance to commission of offence (suffocation)
  • Sexual assault
  • assault
  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
  • Mischief under $5,000

He appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton for the purpose of a bail hearing on Tuesday, June 22, 2021.
