Brampton Library still offering some services during COVID lockdown

New COVID-19 lockdown measures for Peel Region hasn’t interrupted some services offered by the Brampton Library.

The system continues to offer limited in-branch services at Chinguacousy, Four Corners, and Springdale Branch branches.

As well, curbside Pickup of held materials is offered at Cyril Clark, Gore Meadows, Mount Pleasant Village, South Fletcher’s and South West branch locations.

Customers can also borrow Grab ‘n’ Go bags of library materials at all Brampton Library locations and return materials safely and easily through 24-hour external drop boxes. Overdue fines will not be charged until further notice.

For the duration of the current lockdown period, Chinguacousy, Four Corners, and Springdale libraries are open for in-branch holds pick up, brief use of library computers for transactional purposes, printing, and photocopying services only. In-branch study space is not available and the use of personal devices to work or study is not permitted at this time.

“While closely adhering to provincial guidelines, Brampton Library strives to provide residents access to services and offers a wide range of print and digital materials to borrow Brampton Library is here for you during this challenging time,” said Interim CEO Susan Bartoletta.

Brampton Library has also announced expanded hours for its popular curbside pickup. Customers must place their holds online and select a pickup location. Click here for full hours of operation, safety protocols, and how to place holds.
