Shukrullah Adel of Brampton has just won $250,000 with Instant Crossword Deluxe.
“I’m an occasional lottery player,” Adel told OLG. “I enjoy Instant Crossword because I like the prize amount and I enjoy playing the game to the end.”
The 35-year-old married father was at the mall with his family when he decided to check his ticket, according to OLG.
“I scanned it three times before giving it to the clerk,” he said. “My wife was with me and was happy and excited for me!”

Adel, a financial services employee, plans to invest most of his winnings. “I will make the most of this,” he told OLG.
“If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s that you never know what’s around the corner. This win gives me a sense of freedom and peace of mind. It’s nice during these uncertain times,” he concluded.
The winning ticket was purchased at BCC Lotto Centre on Peel Centre Drive in Brampton.
