There is no battle more serious and important than the battle between two cities vying to be recognized as the best place to go for exceptional brunch.

There is no battle more serious and important than the battle between two cities vying to be recognized as the best place to go for exceptional brunch.

We at insauga.com and inbrampton.com have searched far and wide for the best brunch joints in both cities, and our Top 5 picks are about to battle it out—and you can vote for your favourite in the poll below.

When it comes to excellent brunch food, every ingredient counts. Are the Eggs Benny perfectly poached? Are the pancakes soft and fluffy? Are the dishes creative? Are the mimosas delectable?

Both Mississauga and Brampton are known for their respective food scenes, and both offer a ton of excellent brunch restaurants—but only one city can have the absolute best hotspots.

So, here’s a look at each city’s best spots on our signature Top 5 lists on insauga.com and inbrampton.com.

Where will you be eating this weekend?

Mississauga

Top 5 brunch spots in Mississauga

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but we would argue that it doesn’t hold a candle to an early afternoon brunch. If you want to relax over a breakfast and lunch hybrid in Mississauga, the options are endless. Some places worth checking out include the casual but welcoming Union Social Eatery, the elegant and stunning Glenerin Inn (which also functions as a hotel and spa), the chic Breakwater Restaurant (which is located inside the Waterside Inn in Port Credit), the modern and unique Kravingz in Clarkson and our number one pick, the relatively new and trendy Capra’s Kitchen. While Capra’s is our number one, we know Mississauga is a great city for brunch.

Brampton

Top 5 brunch spots in Brampton

If you want to eat breakfast food late in the day, Brampton has enough brunch spots to satisfy your cravings. Some places you don’t want to miss include the chic and on-trend J. Red & Co, the beloved Flips (which is well known for its generous portions), the popular and reliably tasty John’s Family Restaurant, the long-standing (and perhaps even legendary) Stacey Lee’s Family Restaurant and our number one pick, the tucked-away hidden gem that is AJ’s Restaurant. While AJ’s is number one for us, we know Brampton is the perfect city for brunch enthusiasts.
