Assault investigation in Thunder Bay leads police to Brampton

A Brampton man has been arrested in relation to an assault investigation by police in Thunder Bay.

Police in the Northern Ontario city say they were called to a home just before 8 a.m. on December 6 after receiving reports that a woman was taken to hospital as a result of an attack.

During their investigation Thunder Bay Police found that that another woman received injuries during the incident as well. None of the injuries are considered life-threatening.

The investigation led police to Brampton where a person known to the victims was picked up.

Charged with two counts of assault with a weapon is Brandon Geoffrey Hinds, 35, of Brampton.

He was taken back to Thunder Bay and appeared in bail court earlier today (Dec. 9) and is being held in custody for a future court appearance.
