A 26-year-old Brampton woman is facing charges after allegedly using a fraudulent COVID-19 document upon arriving from an international flight at Toronto Pearson Airport in Mississauga.
Peel police say that on March 29, 2021, a Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) officer was inspecting a woman’s entry documents and noticed a negative COVID-19 document that appeared to be fraudulent. The officer called police and had the document reviewed by Public Health.
Police say the woman was arrested and charged with producing a forged document. She was released and is scheduled to appear in court on May 17, 2021.
Once released, she returned to the Public Health Agency of Canada for processing.
